The American Military Veteran
Dennis Proulx was drafted into the Army in 1969. After basic training at Fort Dix, N.J., he attended artillery school at Fort Sill, Okla.
By Feb. 1, 1970, Proulx found himself in Vietnam, serving with the 6th Battalion, 14th Artillery Regiment, 1st Field Forces at Smasher Forward in Kontum, central highlands.
Dennis extended his tour and also served with 1st Battalion, 21st Artillery Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division.
Dennis arrived back in the states April 6, 1971, after serving 14 months in country.
"It's an experience I'll never forget, but will never regret serving my country," Proulx said.
